Write a couplet for Friday.

A couplet is a pair of lines of meter in poetry. It usually consists of two lines that rhyme and have the same meter.  The poem should be at least 10 lines long and establish a clear end rhyme scheme.

Beneath the poem write three sentences about why you wrote the poem, three sentences about the poetic devices (include at least three poetic devices in your poem: ONE MUST BE CONSONANCE AND THE OTHER MUST BE ALLUSION!), and three sentences about the specific form you chose and how the form does or does not follow all of the "rules" of the form.  Incorporate at least three vocabulary words from Unit 14.

Example Couplet:

Choosing The Road of Life

As we travel over different roads 9
Each deciphering our own code 8
I believe we will reach an end 8
Each of us with our secret blend 8

Every piece of our life has meaning 9
Some of us have done more leaning 8
Others become one to lean on 8
Every one of us would be strong 8

Else the world will fall like dominoes 9
like feet that tip without their toes 8

Reach the road that’s right for you 7
Not what others say to do 7

Become the sun with light and power 9
still dependent like the flower 8

We travel over different roads 8
each deciphering our own code 8
